FINDING TIME TO THINGS WE LOVE

It seems that lately I just cant find time to do the things that I want, like or love. When I was younger I use to finish work early and go to the gym to work out, play racket ball go jogging or go around taking picture, however today it seems that I am too busy working doing my job, paperwork and my personal family day to day things. So I went from being in good shape and someone who had all kinds of time to someone who is aging getting fat with arthritis and all kinds of problems not as bad as it as it sounds but bad enough to make me think. Today things are going so fast that we make things feel busy. We always act  like we need to be doing something all the time . And now with technology changing daily in what seems to be going forward faster and faster I find myself wondering what to say and vent about.

A photographic  note: I sure do hope that the Kodak company makes it through these tough times they are going through. I love there film their brand and, everything they have done for the photographic community.

 

Maybe today after this is all said and done Ill be able to go for a long relaxing walk through the different back streets in my neighborhood witch are so beautiful, peaceful, quite and relaxing. I just hope that its not too cold or that my knees, hip, feet , back wrist or any other part of my body don’t bother me, arthritis can be like that.

MY GROUPON DINING EXPERIENCE

I was very happy when I received a gift certificate to a nearby Italian Restaurant , Scola`s in Dracut Mass.It is one of these places that I normally would not go to nothing against it but I just don`t gravitate to it, and I sure don`t go out too often.

I looked up the place on the internet and the Menu looked good I found that there were a few things that I could order and the price really did`tn matter after all I had my Groupon  certificate it was for 50.00 dollars. It had some restrictions. one was that you could not order take out which I found right away to stink because there are times that your on your way home from work or where ever and take out can be great. I know that the Restaurant want you eat there with the hope that they can sell you other things. and keep their waitresses busy. I also heard that they sell these coupons in some cases for half the price but, I know that there are time that i want to order take out. Some of the other restrictions were that you could not pay for drinks, taxes, tip and you had to use up the whole coupon in one seating.

My wife and I went there about 5 pm the place had a few other people in it. They sat us a a small table I guess they like to do this for two people,it did seem a little too small ounce all the foo started to come to us . The place was starting to get busy somewhere in the other section of the restaurant and so they took our waitress who was very nice and sent us some one else who we did not know.

The food was good I ordered a seafood or fisherman platter it was loaded with french fries, I would rather these sent less fries and organize it better , I did learn that I do not care to much for Calamari`s but I tried something new. My wife ordered this Portuguese plate of pork chops with pepper, onions and thin slices of potatoes she thought it was great. I thought that the portions that they gave were large enough for two dinners. When it came time to pack up our left over to take home ( what we use to call a doggy bag) the waitress brought us three containers so that we could pack up our own food into them, the table was covered with food and almost no place for this. I like when the waitress takes your food to the side and using a knife or gloves takes care of this for you, my wife said that other places are now doing this.

Our bill came and we paid very little money using our coupon.I don’t think they separated the drinks after all we only had a coffee and a soda. I gave the new waitress the 15% tip and off we were with our three containers of food. I still think it would have been easier to have ordered all of this to go but it was not on the coupon. All in all we had a good time and I would do it again.

Why Working With Family Is Such A Pain

After being self employed for many years you come to like and do things your own way. Now my son works for me on part time bases and in this bad economy I feel keeping him is good to help him (after all he is my son) but, there is always a but , working with someone who wants to make up his own schedule, someone who is difficult to speak to is hard they always feel like they are beyond others and cant be touched. The other thing to make it worst is when at the end of the day you live with them. There truly are a lot of negatives to working with family, the only advantage is that you help loved ones at what price I`m still not sure, I`m still to close to the Forest to see all of the trees.
